Obituary

HEMET, Calif. – Peggy Jo (Harrison) Mortimer, 81, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, in Hemet, Calif., following a massive stroke.

She was born Nov. 26, 1928, to Fred and Elsie (Hook) Harrison in Tyrone, Okla.

She married Edwin Mortimer Jan. 22, 1947. He died Oct. 28, 1996.

She attended school in Tyrone, graduating from Tyrone High School in 1946.

She enjoyed storytelling, particularly family history.

Survivors include one son, Ed and wife, Christine, Krebs, Okla.; one daughter, Jodell Zeal and husband, Rady, Hemet; one brother, Lewis and wife, Lois, Tyrone; one sister, Eva Jones Davis, Holly, Colo.; four granddaughters, Vickie, Katherine, Sarah and Peyton; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Evelyn; two brothers, Leonard and Lee; one sister, Iva; and two nephews, Roger and Gerry.

o Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Tyrone Cemetery with the Rev. Stanley Lehnert presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Tyrone Cemetery.
