Naomi Ruth Rine, 83, died Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. 

She was born March 12, 1934 to Martin and Ellen (Plunkett) McKee in Moyers, Oklahoma. 

She married Philip Rine Oct. 31, 1952 in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1991.

She attended school at University High School in Norman, Oklahoma. 

She was a homemaker and loved caring for her children and grandchildren. 

She was an active member of the community and was involved with many organizations, including Meals on Wheels, the Liberal Chamber of Commerce Welcome Wagon, being a Webelos Den Mother, the Liberal Senior Center as a dance director and bus driver. 

She was also a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was a lector and vocalist, and was a member of the St. Anthony's Altar Society. 

She was also a proud active member of the Choctaw Nation.

Survivors include six sons: David Rine and wife, Janie, Liberal, Joe Rine, Liberal, Jim Rine and wife, Sue, Fairbury, Nebraska, Mike Rine and wife, Monette, Liberal, John Rine and wife, Christina, Plano, Texas, and Lee Rine, Little Elm, Texas; four daughters: Mary Prouty, Wichita, Melanie Ossman and husband, Mike, Wichita, Rebecca Rine, Liberal, and Teresa Hommertzheim and husband, Rodney, Guthrie, Oklahoma; 33 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and caretaker and friend, Darlene Webb.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three daughters: Carlotta Ann Rine, Pamela Sue Rine, and Virginia Leigh Rine; three grandchildren: Christopher Rine, Jordan Prouty, and Jerrod Gragg; brothers, Earl Geyer and Charles Geyer; and sisters, Julia Thomas and Irma McKee.

• Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal. 

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Fr. James P Dieker presiding.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Miller Mortuary in Liberal.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Anthony Catholic Church or Birthline in care of Miller Mortuary- PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
