Berlinda Green, 71, died May 13, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Wichita. 

She was born Feb. 15, 1946 to Luvell and Jennie Mae (Collins) Ricks Sr in Pickens, Arkansas. 

She married Charles Green March 10, 2000 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He survives.

She attended Dumas High School in Dumas, Arkansas.  

She worked in housekeeping at the Warren Hotel.

She worked as a welder at Tradewinds Industries in Liberal. 

She worked as a sales clerk for Anthony’s Clothing Store in Liberal, and as a cashier for Walmart in Liberal. She later transferred to the store Walmart in Little Rock, Arkansas and retired after working for Walmart for more than 20 years.  

She enjoyed attending church and playing bingo.

Survivors also include three sons: Ulysses Washington and wife, Mary, Liberal, Willie Washington III and wife, Brandi, Wichita, and Tony Alexander, Topeka; three daughters: Brenda Washington, Kansas City, Velma Washington, Wichita, and Paulette Pace, Las Vegas; brother, Luvell Ricks Jr. and wife, Ora, Liberal; three sisters: Joyce Ward and husband, Larry, Liberal, Sandra Martinez and husband, Manual, Kansas City, and Debbie Ricks, Liberal; stepson, Bryson Miller, Wichita; stepdaughter, Latasha Green, Atlanta; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister. 

• Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 at Liberal Cemetery in Liberal, with Superintendent Lawrence Johnson from the Bibleway Church of God in Christ presiding. 

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 at Brenneman Funeral Home.
