The High Plains Storm seventh grade team kicked off their summer basketball season at the MAYB OK Roundball tournament in Oklahoma City over Mother’s Day Weekend. Because of a limited number of seventh grade teams, they also competed against eighth grade teams and ultimately fell in a 23-34 loss to Bailey’s Express eighth grade to take second place. The team, coached by Lonnie Bailey and Destiny Alston, has been together since 2013.  Pictured  are, from left, Lonnie Bailey, Destiny Alston, Autumn Seaton, Allison Weber, Malorie Schlessman, Calli Jones, Bri Horyna, and front row from left, Kylie Rudzik, Aby Schilling, Riley Lehnert, Ginna Buller, and Lizzete Aquino.
