RUBY J. MORFORD
HUGOTON – Ruby Juanita Morford, 92, died Thursday, Dec. 25, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
She was born May 22, 1916, to Lewis Arthur and Myrtle Clara (Shepherd) LaForce in Gate, Okla.
She married Leslie Garmon. He preceded her in death.
She then marred Gordon Morford. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemamker and a nurse aid at Stevens County Hospital for several years.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Hugoton.
She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sunflower Unit, both of Hugoton.
Survivors include one son, Gerald Garmon and wife, Carol, Ulysses; one daughter, Joyce McBride, Belaire; three stepsons, Leo, Gary and Terry Morford; two stepdaughters, Wilma Steers and Wanda Hicks; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Charlia Garmon, Hugoton; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lewis Garmon; three brothers, Lester, Alvin and Chester LaForce; one half sister, Rosa Van Dyke; and two grandsons, Randy Garmon and Kelly Garmon.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God in Hugoton with the Rev. David Piper presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Paul’s Funeral Home.
