Career field Air Force Airman Brett D. Combs will be deployed to Okinawa Japan. He will be leaving Oct. 18. 
While in Okinawa, he will be a Munitions Systems Apprentice. His duties will include receiving, identifying, inspecting, storing, reconditioning, ship, issue, deliver, maintain, test and assemble guided and unguided non-nuclear munitions.
He will handle, store and transport nuclear weapons and locally dispose of nonhazardous unserviceable munitions. 
He will maintain and recondition munitions, munitions-handling equipment and munitions maintenance and storage facilities. He will maintain and operate personal computers and the Shas – one of the broadest missions in the Air Force and offers the widest range of experience and training to its members. 
Job assignments in this career field span the globe from Europe and Asia Minor to Japan and the Orient. Combs will work with and around the newest Air Force jet fighters and bombers.
