HUGOTON – Mable Simmons, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.
She was born Feb. 27, 1920, to Oran and Mary O. (Keller) McAdoo in Stevens County.
Sh married Herbert Duane Simmons May 29, 1939, in Ashland. He died Jan. 24, 1983.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening and yard work.
Survivors include three sons, Dean H. Simmons and wife, Twylah, Hugoton, Chuck N. Simmons, Omaha, Neb., and Ron R. Simmons and wife, Kathy, Hugoton; two daughters, Mary Hinkle and husband, Gary, San Antonio, and Cecelia Wilert and husband, Mike, Leoti; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Edith Simmons and June Anglin, and one daughter-in-law, Shirley Simmons.
o Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Paul’s Funeral Home Chapel in Hugoton with Minister Keith Peachey presiding.
Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may sign the register until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The casket will be closed.
