Obituary


Clifford R. Hoagland, 51, died Friday, June 23, 2017 at his home in Liberal.

He was born July 24, 1965 to Raymond Hoagland and Peggy (Burns) in Dodge City. 

He worked as a Roughneck for the oilfield. 

He served his country in the United States National Guard for eight years. 

He enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, playing lottery scratch-offs. 

He also enjoyed reading, camping, hiking, fishing and traveling.

Survivors include daughter, Kelsey Ireland, Dallas; stepdaughter, Mehgan McGehee, Dallas; three brothers: David Burns and wife, Debbie, Tyrone, Okla., Ronnie Hoagland and wife, Judy, Lake City, and Curtis Burns, Liberal; sisters, Barbara Burns, Liberal, and Deedee Freeman and husband, Doug, Satanta; grandchild, Liam Peckham; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dick Hoagland.

• Cremation has taken place, and services will take place at a later date.
