Obituary

BEAVER, Okla. – Audie Brooks, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, in Childress, Texas.

He was born Nov. 26, 1929, to Leonard Francis and Inavetta (Brumley) Brooks in Berryville, Ark.

He married Frankie McBride Jan. 3, 1949, in Anthony. She died May 9, 1996.

He then married Rosella DePriest May 5, 1997. She survives.

He was a member of the Christian Church for more than 60 years.

He is also survived by one son, David Brooks, Fort Collins, Colo.; two daughters, Cydnee White, Las Vegas, and Jan Gregg, Wellington, Colo.; one brother, Kenneth Brooks, Augusta; two sisters, Betty Gustin, Aguilla, Ariz., and Sharon Brewer, Garden City; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

o Funeral services were at 11 a.m. today at the Beaver First Christian Church with Rick Main and Leland Coulter presiding.

Burial will be at the Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver.
