Monte Joe Dillon, 67, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his home in Viola, Ark.   

He was born Nov. 7, 1949 to Dwayne and Mary (Hanway) Dillon in Bridgeport, Neb.

He married June Ellice Taylor Feb. 2, 1969 in Liberal.

He graduated from Liberal High School in 1968. 

He made his career in the printing industry. 

He spent the remainder of his days farming, fishing, hunting, traveling, and shooting trap at the local gun club at the farm he and his wife had moved to.

Survivors include daughters, Jamie (Russell) Ward III, Bedford Township, Mich., and Jennifer Dillon, Ormond by the Sea, Fla.; brother, Dwight Dillon, Littleton, Colo.; and four grandchildren: Logan, Allison, RJ, and Dillon.
