Dorothy V. (Stapleton) Lynch, 96, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Satanta Long Term Care Unit in Satanta. 

She was born Dec. 6, 1920 to Ralph and Myrtle (Dawson) Stapleton in Sublette. 

She married Cecil E. Lynch Dec. 24, 1939 in Sublette. He preceded her in death.

She graduated Sublette High School in 1939. 

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hugoton, and the Hugoton China Club. 

Survivors include son, Roger Lynch and wife, Judy; daughter, Janet Sutton, Hugoton; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Lynch; brothers, Harold Stapleton and Clifford Stapleton; and sisters, Francis Trahern and Fern Axton.

• Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in Hugoton with Pastor Becky Davison presiding. 

Burial will take place at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton. 

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m.  to 8 p.m. Friday, July 14.
