Jo Ann Forward Sessler, 87, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley-Lund Home in Gilbert, Ariz. after suffering a stroke. 

She was born Aug. 22, 1929 to Glenn and Ann Forward in Goddard. 

She graduated from Hugoton High School in 1947, 

She married Warren Robert "Bob" Sessler, June 1, 1948. 

Survivors include children, Greg Sessler (April), Amarillo, Texas, and Connie Miles (Greg), Gilbert, Ariz.; seven grandchildren: Sara Sessler Vrede (Kai), Stephanie Sessler Moss (Jacob), Sam Sessler (Mandy), Garrett Miles (Amy), Rob Miles (Melissa) Kellie Miles Wagner (Daniel), and Melissa Miles Hatch (Logan); brothers, Charles Forward (Evalean), Hugoton, and Wayne Forward (Mary Ann), Moscow; sisters: Mildred Moser (Earl Gene), Hugoton, Jean Coulter (Harold), Hugoton, and Dula Hughes (James), Haverhill, Ohio; 19 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Maxine Phillips (Ebert). 

• Funeral services took place Saturday at the Hugoton Branch Meetinghouse of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

Burial took place at the Hugoton Cemetery.
