ULYSSES – Robert Padilla, 51, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. 

He was born May 14, 1966 to Merejildo A. and Mollie M. (Cruz) Padilla in Ulysses. 

He graduated from Ulysses High School. 

He helped his father in the plumbing business.  

He also worked as a mechanic and carpenter in Ulysses. 

Survivors include brothers: Lee Roy Padilla, Ulysses, Abel Padilla, Lyons, and Merejildo Jr. (Danny) Padilla, Ulysses; and sisters: Becky Padilla, Ulysses, Gloria Guzman, Arkansas City, Sylvia Moreno, Liberal, Debbie Porras, Tyrone, Okla., and Brenda Padilla, Tennessee. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Johnny Padilla.

 Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses. 

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses with Reverend Peter Fernandez presiding.  

Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses. 

Memorials are suggested to the Robert Padilla Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS  67880.
