James Ray Redburn, 71, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

He was born July, 17, 1946 to Perry R. Redburn and Bessie Hetrick Redburn in El Dorado. 

He married Kaola Karen Kelly July 17, 1968 in El Dorado. She survives. 

He was a member of the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam from Jan. 7, 1964 to Aug. 5, 1967.

He worked many years for National Beef.

Survivors include son, Raymond Charles Redburn, Liberal; daughters, Nolana Marie Redburn, North Carolina, and Kaola Lynn Warren, Liberal; brothers, Larry Redburn, Lawrence, and Joe Redburn, El Dorado; and sisters, Virginia Riley, El Dorado, and Laura Erlich, El Dorado; 10 Grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Butch Redburn and Edward Redburn.

 Private services have taken place.

Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors project in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd St. Liberal, KS  67901.
