HUGOTON – Marshall E. Kepley, 77, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at Vibra Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.  

He was born May 20, 1940 to Edward B. and Helen (King) Kepley in Satanta. 

He married Roberta Freeman May 20, 1962 at Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal. She survives.

He attended Golden Grade School and graduated from Grant County Rural High School in 1958. 

He worked at Ulysses Equipment in Ulysses for 10 years.  

He worked as the manager at Stevco Implement in Hugoton.  

In 1985, he began farming some of the Kepley ground in Grant County.  

He served on the Ulysses Co-op board, and was a member of Jaycees and Faith Lutheran Church in Hugoton. 

He was also an avid reader, enjoying books about history and World War II.  

He was one of the original members of the District 6 Golden Rangers.

Survivors also include daughters, Donna Reed and husband, Ray, Amarillo, Texas, and Tammy Kepley, Hugoton; brothers, Jim Kepley and wife, Linda, Ulysses, and David Kepley and wife, Ann, Bernalillo, N.M.; grandchildren: Kylie Reed, Tate Reed and wife, Jessica, and Cassidy Chavez and husband, Josh; great-granddaughter, Rocelyn Reed; and many nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church in Hugoton with Pastor Andrew Wehling presiding.  

There will be a private family burial at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.  

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton.  

Memorials are suggested to Pheasant Heaven Charities in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S Main, Hugoton, KS  67951.
