Charles Edwin Shelton Jr died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.  

He was born Feb. 25, 1953 to Charles Shelton Sr. and Donna (Phillips) Shelton in Vernon, Texas.  

He graduated from Lefors High School in 1971. 

He proudly served in the United States Army.  

He worked as a welder for Ingersol Rand, in production for Cabot Carbon Black, and most recently as a custodian at Turpin High School. 

Survivors include son, Josh Shelton, Pampa, Texas; and brother, Lynn Shelton and wife, Kay, Amarillo, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

• Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be announced at a later date. 

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS  67901.
