HUGOTON – Barbara Kathrine (Reissig) Cook, 91, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton. 

She was born Jan. 10, 1926 to Benjamin and Olive (Wood) Reissig in Ft. Scott.

She married Wallace Cook July 1, 1944 in Walnut. He preceded her in death. 

Survivors include sons, Rodney L. Cook and wife, Sharon, Wellington, and Phillip M. Cook and wife, Rosie, San Antonio, Texas; daughters, Jackie Walker and husband, Frank, Hugoton, and Karen Schmidt and husband, Wesley, Rolla; seven grandchildren: Missie Bales, Guymon, Okla., Nathan Cook, Garden City, Keenan Cook, Topeka, Sandy Stout, Wichita, Matthew Walker, Chico Calif., Craig Walker, Parachute, Colo., and Ben Schmidt, Rolla; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and manyother relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Leo Reissig and Joe Reissig; and sister, Georgie Welsh.

 Graveside services took place today at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton with Frankie Thomas presiding.
