ULYSSES – Jaxon Anthony Newport Silva, 1, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. 

He was born Aug. 31, 2016 to Trinity Newport and Jayden Silva in Lakin.  

Survivors include his parents; grandparents: Debra Newport, Ulysses, Ron Newport, Omaha, Neb., Tasha Nelson, Ryan, Okla., and Peter Silva, Hugoton; great-grandparents: Robert and Beverly Spencer, Limon, Colo., Brenda Dunham, Ryan, Okla., and Virdia Newport, Lakin; great-great-grandmother, Irene Irmer, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.   

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Scotty Nathan Elliston and Jim Nelson; and great-great-grandfathers, Irvin Irmer and Robert Newport.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with Reverend Richard Stafford presiding.  

Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses.  

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
