Leadership training designed to deliver inspiring content and motivation for individuals and teams will be available Friday through a simulcast event at Sublette Southern Baptist Church.

Doors for the Live2Lead event will open for registration at 7:30 Friday morning at the church at 901 Lark Ave. in Sublette, with the event beginning at 8 a.m.

Coordinator Cody Forester said Live2Lead is a leadership simulcast started by leadership expert, author and coach John C. Maxwell.

“The live event was this last Friday on the 6th, but I do a replay a week after, which would be the 13th,” he said. “It’s about three and a half hours long.”

Maxwell will speak twice during the event, and joining him is personal money-management expert Dave Ramsey, former NFL running back Warrick Dunn and former Popeyes CEO Cheryl Bachelder.

Forester said this is the third year he has done the simulcast, and the turnout has doubled each time. The numbers are still small, though, but he said other area communities are getting involved.

“Sublette, we’re kind of small, but I think this year, we’re going to have about 30 people,” he said. “We’ve got people from Garden City, Satanta. Any pastor in the area is welcome to come for free, definitely good leadership material for them.”

As for the impact Live2Lead has, Forester said he is unsure of the change brought about by the simulcast.

“That’s really hard for me to gauge,” he said. “I know the people who have come have come back and are still coming back. That’s really the only way that I can gauge the value.”

Forester himself is a certified John Maxwell speaker, teacher and coach for Maxwell’s company.

“John Maxwell’s leadership content, he wanted to leave a legacy of people that taught and believed in the same principles that he does,” he said. “They’ve created a course to where you can go get certified to bring his material out to companies and organizations. I went and got certified to be able to do that, and Live2Lead is part of that.”

The Live2Lead simulcast is hosted by selfless leaders. Tickets are $58.49 per person and are available for purchase online at www.eventbrite.com/e/live2lead-sublette-tickets-36847277198.

Forester said he is excited to have this opportunity to present an amazing event to surrounding communities.

“One of the biggest things for me is just to be able to get that connection with individuals, and Live2Lead is where that connection starts,” he said.

On a page for the event on Facebook, Maxwell was quoted as saying,  “Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.”

“Influence comes from having and applying the right tools at the right time, and what better place and time but here and now to put a few extra tools in the toolbox,” the post said.

Forester invites everyone to learn from the world-class leadership experts, be prepared to implement a new action plan, and start leading when they get back to the office with renewed passion and commitment.
