USD 480 could look very different after a special meeting of the USD 480 school board this evening beginning at 6:30 at the USD 480 Central Office.

Up first for the board will be requests to approve a pair of Potential Change Items concerning replacing glass windows in the LHS east annex and  softplay areas at Cottonwood Elementary School and Sunflower Elementary School.

The board will also be discussing possible demolition of Garfield Elementary School.

“A mandatory ‘pre-bid’ meeting will start at Garfield School Oct. 30, 2017 at 11 a.m.,” the agenda information noted. “Bids will be Due Dec. 05, 2017.  Asbestos remediation  to start  the first week of November and conclude by Jan. 1, 2018.”

To conclude the new business, the board will discuss the district’s long-range facilities plan.
