Karen Laverne Snook, 79, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.

She was born Dec. 28, 1937 to Slayton and Lorene Turner Christie in Wheeler, Texas. 

She married Roy Samuel Snook March 25, 1994 in Spearman, Texas. He preceded her in death Nov. 29, 2013.

She moved she worked for Mill’s Ideal in Hooker, Okla. for 30 years.

She enjoyed bingo, gardening and arrowhead hunting. 

She enjoyed horseshoes and went to tournaments with her husband. 

Survivors include sons, Jimmy and Reneann Chavedo, Amarillo, Texas, and Tony Chavedo, Hooker, Okla.; daughters, Gayla Miller, Hooker, Okla., and Sharon Patterson, Moore, Okla.; four brothers: Chris Christie, Oklahoma, Mark Christie, Los Crus, N.M., John Christie, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Gene Christie, Roswell, N.M.; sister, Dena Brown, Roswell, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Joe Chavedo; and daughter, Debra Hanks.
