• Special to the Daily Leader
The community event known as Christmasing In Plains is scheduled for the second Sunday in December. This will be Dec. 12. The events – except for the parade – will be in the new Plains Community Building in the park.
An added event this year is the WIZZYWIG Craft Show on Sunday. There will be room in the New Plains Community for tables and booths so you can do some Christmas shopping.
There will be a meal served at noon for the shoppers.
Also added will be inflatables in the park until the parade time for the kids. Jeanne Roberts is heading up this event and her contact number is (620)482-3526.
The 43rd Christmasing In Plains Parade starts at 4 p.m. The theme of the parade is “Christmas A Beacon of Hope.”
Santa and Mrs. Claus  will visit Plains as will the Snowflake King and Queen. The kids can visit with Santa and ride the Lions Kiddy Train. There will be a merchants drawing and a hay scramble for the children.
Following the parade, people can enjoy the Lions Club meal at the new Plains Community Building and look over the crafts displayed while the children tell Santa what they want for Christmas.
It will be a great time in Plains on Sunday, Dec. 12.
Wizzywig Craft Show organizers are seeking additional crafters for the show scheduled for Dec. 12 at Christmasing in Plains. Call Jeanne for more information at (6200 482-3526.
