A collision at Pancake Blvd. and Kansas Ave. at 8:38 p.m. Monday, sent two teenage girls to the hospital. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved were not injured, according to a statement from Liberal Police Capt. Pat McClurg. “A gold 1998 Chrysler Seabring was going south on Kansas and a maroon 2010 Nissan Armada was going north on Kansas,” McClurg said. “The Chrysler turned left in front of the Nissan, and they had a collision. The Chrysler was driven by a 17-year-old female, and she had a 15-year-old female passenger. The Nissan was driven by a 45-year-old male with a 45-year-old female passenger. The two girls in the Chrysler were transported to Southwest Medical Center by Emergency Medical Services.” McClurg was not aware of the condition of the two teens this morning.
