JAMESTOWN – Sheri Lee (Wait) Cyre, 54, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at her home in Jamestown. 

She was born July 3, 1963 to Leland M. and Jolene K. (Cramer) Wait in Clay Center. 

She married Daniel Cyre July 19, 1980 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center. He survives.

She grew up in Clay Center and attended Clay Center Community High School. She attended Cloud County Community College in Concordia and Seward County Community College in Liberal.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia.

She owned and operated Floral Expressions in Concordia for several years.

Sheri served as president of Teleflora Regional Board.  

She received several awards both locally and nationally in floral design and was named Kansas Designer of the year many times.  

She also volunteered to help with many area civic events. Her life passions were floral design, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors also include son, Matthew Cyre (Brandy), Vici, Okla.; brother, Joseph Wait, Clay Center; sisters, Karla Choitz (Darrell), Ellsworth, and Penny Smith, Clay Center; and four grandchildren: Damion and David French, and Caitlyn and Cierra Cyre.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia, with Fr. David Metz presiding. 

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in St. Joseph.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 with a Vigil at 6 p.m. and the family greeting friends after the vigil, all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to The Guardians of the St. Joseph Church.
