The Lady Bobcats like to run, and Tuesday night Jenna Bohannan was the gas to the Lady Bobcats offensive engine scoring 19 of the team's 31 second half points on their way to a 64-57 win over the Goodwell Lady Eagles.

"She normally hits 3 to 4 threes a game, but didn't get any this game," Lady Bobcats coach Jacob Chapman said. "She did a good job getting down the floor and attacking the basket."

altTyrone needed the big offensive output as Goodwell was able to keep pace throughout. Tyrone advanced a seven-point halftime lead with a 12-4 run, with Bohannan scoring nine, to start the second half, going up 45-30 four minutes in. Goodwell cut it back to seven (49-42, with by the end of the third.

Tyrone led by 13 (57-44) with 5:35 left, and still led by ten with 1:32 before Goodwell cut it back to six with 35 seconds. But the Lady Bobcats were able to hold off any miracles from that point on.

"Good to get a win, especially against a quality opponent," Chapman said. "Had some good runs, but Goodwell kept coming right back."

One of the key stretches for the the Lady Bobcats came early in the game. Leading 5-4, Tyrone went on a 10-0 run to take a 15-4 lead. Goodwell countered with a pair of baskets to end the first quarter, followed by a pair of threes to start the second to cut the lead back to one, 15-14.

The pace then went frenetic as Tyrone scored 13 points in 2:15 to go up eight, but Goodwell quickly cut it back to four (28-24). The Lady Bobcats were able to extend it in the final 1:20 of the half to 33-26.

"We want get up and down the floor," Chapman said. "We were able to get some steals, but then we started to miss some layups and have some turnovers of our own. Got to take care of the ball."

Adding to Bohannan's 25 was Paige Brown with 14, and Jennifer Sims with 11.

Tyrone (7-3) will host Felt, Thursday, then travel to Balko, Friday.
