Special to the Leader & Times

Thursday night the Eisenhower Warrior seventh grade boys hosted Scott City for their home opener and came away with a 34-30 win.

The Warriors found themselves trailing by eight points at the half. Scott City drained four three point shots to jump out to the lead.

But the Warrior defense took control in the third quarter, holding Scott City to only two points while scoring 12 of their own.  The third quarter flurry ended on an Isaiah Jenkins’ lay-up at the buzzer to give the Warriors their first lead of the game. The Warriors won the game with a final of 34-30.

Leading the Warriors was Christopher Robledo with 12 points and 10 rebounds,  Isaiah Jenkins  scored 10,  Izzy Garcia had eight,  and Isaiah Bailey contributed four.   Christopher Robledo  pulled down 10 rebounds.
