Join Mid-American Air Museum from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday for a chance to sit in a Bell UH-1H Iroquois, an iconic aircraft from the Vietnam era.

MAAM is hosting an open cockpit event, with free admission. Nicknamed the Huey because of its designation of UH-1, the Iroquois prototype was first flown in 1956.

Used for transport, reconnaissance, rescue, medical evacuation and as an armed gunship, it could reach a top speed of 127 miles per hour. This helicopter was donated to the air museum by Bell Helicopter.
