South McDonald’s Manager Fran Graves checks out the car she won as part of a statewide contest in which stores were challenged to raise sales by 10 percent for the summer of 2009. McDonald’s owner George Roldan attended a recent region meeting in Kansas City, and he was one of five store owners who each received a key to a car. After all of the other keys failed to start the car, Roldan’s key ignited the engine, and he presented the car to Graves this morning. Graves has been working with McDonald’s for 34 years and as a manager for 15 years. Roldan said he gave the car to Graves simply because, “She deserved it.” Daily Leader photo/Robert Pierce
