The Beaver Lady Dusters started fast and cruised to a 54-30 win over the Turpin Lady Cardinals. Beaver advances to Saturday's District Championship against Shattuck, while Turpin's season ended in the first round again.

altBeaver jumped out to a 15-1 lead in the first six minutes, then extened their lead to 26-5 with less than three minutes to play in the half. Turpin was finally able to get some offensive production in the final minutes of the half, but still trailed 29-12 at the break.

Turpin hit a pair of threes to start the second half and cut the lead to 14 (34-20) with 3 minutes left in the third, but that was as close as they would get. Beaver went on a 13-2 run to go up by 25 with 5:40 left in the fourth.

Turpin's biggest missed opportunity came at the free throw line, converting just 11 of 27 shots.

Sydnee Looper came off the bench to lead the Lady Dusters with 13 points; Zoee Weaver added 10.  Calli McVay led the Lady Cardinals with 9.

Beaver (16-7) will face Shattuck, Saturday night for the district title. Turpin ends their season with a 7-17 record.
