A Satanta man died Sunday in a one-vehicle fatality a few miles north of Liberal.
David Nieto, 28, was driving a Ford F-150 on Road 16 in Seward County near the Satanta cutoff Sunday when he lost control of the vehicle.
Capt. Rob Gant of the Seward County Sheriff’s office said the pickup then entered the ditch and rolled two and a half times, and Nieto was ejected from the vehicle.
Nieto graduated from Satanta High School in 2001 and received his associates of arts degree from Seward County Community College in 2009.
Survivors include his parents; one brother, Claudio Nieto, Satanta; two sisters, his twin, Diana Nieto, Satanta, and Paula Nieto, Satanta; and grandparents, Eladio and Maria Morales, Satanta.
Rosary was at 8 p.m. Monday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Satanta.
Mass of Christian Burial took place at 11 a.m. today.
