Those looking for magic and color this year need look no further than this year’s upcoming Chamber Bash event.

This year’s Chamber Bash, “The Magic of Color,” will be Saturday, March 10 at Liberal High School.

“I’m looking forward to honoring several of our citizens and the entertainment this year is going to be great, Andy Gross is very talented and he has some surprises of his own in store for us, so I’m also excited about that,” Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Rozelle Webb said. “I’m also excited about the skit the Chamber members are going to do, which will be another surprise for everyone. Also, where else can you go for $40 and have a great meal and some outstanding entertainment? We invite everyone to come. I also want everyone to know you don’t have to be a Chamber member to come that night, anyone who wants to come can come.”

People can purchase tickets at the Chamber of Commerce office, Southern Office Supply, First National Bank, or from any of the Chamber of Commerce board members. Dinner and entertainment tickets are $40 and entertainment-only tickets are $20. And for those who have extra family members coming, there is also an option to get a pack of four entertainment tickets for $50, Webb said. Doors for the Chamber Bash will open at 5 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6 p.m. with presenting sponsor National Beef providing a prime rib dinner.

Webb also said there is a variety of factors that has kept the Chamber Bash event so popular.

“I think it’s because the businesses can showcase their business with their corporate tables, that’s typically a big draw and everyone loves to come and see how innovative and creative they can be with their decorations,” Webb said. “And with the corporate tables, it’s a great opportunity to advertise your business and you can have 400 to 500 people see your business, and you have the opportunity to speak to people about what you do, so it’s a great networking time. And as far as rules for decorating, you can’t have anything with water or sand in it, but otherwise there’s not really any other rules.”

Other sponsors for this year’s event include Brookdale-Liberal Springs, First National Bank, Black Hills Energy, Electric Motor Service, and Golden Plains Credit Union, among many others. Attendees will also have the opportunity to compete for prizes for best dressed (individuals and couples) as well as prizes for decorations for corporate tables.

Webb added she is excited to see the creativity that will go into the table decorations this year.

“The theme this year lends itself to so many possibilities so you can dress in really bright colors and our corporate tables were each able to draw a special envelope that had a swatch of material in it and each of them are different colors,” Webb said. “So the tables will all be different colors. I’m really excited especially with the table decorations because the room will be gorgeous with all the colors coordinated on each table, so the whole room should be bright and colorful.”
