Three Sublette teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday night in Haskell County.
Around 8:34 p.m., the Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Ford truck, which had been traveling northbound on Haskell County Road NN, about one mile south of Sublette, lost control and rolled.
The KHP noted the driver of the vehicle, Grant D. Kelling, 16, of Sublette, lost control and drove the Ford into the southbound ditch and rolled multiple times – coming to rest on the driver’s side facing southwest.
Kelling and a passenger, Carlene Lamberson, 16, of Sublette, were taken to Satanta District Hospital with injuries. Both were later airlifted to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. The KHP reported neither Kelling nor Lamberson were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
A second passenger, Audry Fine, 16, of Sublette, was taken to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal with injuries. Fine was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
