Braving the cold December morning wind and below freezing temperatures, crowds of fans lined up well before the 9 a.m. start time Saturday to purchase tickets for the Jan. 15 Jerrod Niemann Welcome Home concert.
People were lining up before KSCB disc jockey Joe Denoyer arrived for his first newscast of the morning.
“There were people in lines at 5 a.m.,” Denoyer said. “One lady told me she had been there since 4.”
Denoyer said the entire show was sold out in 14 minutes after opening the doors.
“It’s too bad we don’t have a larger venue for this sort of thing,” Denoyer added. “A lot of people left disappointed.”
