COLBY — The Liberal High School wrestling team went 1-6 as a team during the Colby Tournament over the weekend.
The Redskins finished 17th, falling 43-22 to Oberlin, 42-33 to Wray (Colo.), 66-12 to Colby, 62-15 to Pine Creek (Colo.), 64-12 to Valley Center and 34-33 to St. Francis. The lone win was 41-21 over Oakley.
Shaddock Wood went 2-5 at 103 pounds, Osvaldo  Ramirez   1-6  with a fall Michael Frazer   1-6 at 119  punds, Cody Smith    1-6  with a fall at 135, Adebayo Braimah  6-1  with four falls at 140 pounds, Ayodale Braimah   5-2  with four falls at 145, Trenton Wilson 3-4  with two falls at 152, Nate Armendariz   0-1 at 160, Tanner Montoya   2-3 at 171, Shawn Lay 0-5 at 189, Justin McPhail 7-0  with three falls at 215 pounds and Joerge Nunez 4-3  with three falls at 285.
