Liberal High School senior Jade Cathey can add another honor to his growing list of accolades. Cathey was reacently named to the West squad of the Kansas Shrine Bowl football game.
The game will take place  July 30 in Hays.
In an interview following the football season in November, Liberal head coach Wade Standley called Cathey one of the Redskins’ iron men who “Played every down on offense and every down on defense.”
The Shrine Bowl is an east vs. west battle in its 38th year. Proceeds benefot Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
