After more than 60 years, Light Park’s old Girl Scout Cabin comes down PDF Print E-mail

The old Girl Scout Cabin has sat at Light Park for more than 60 years. Two front-bucket loaders began the demolition of the building shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday. Construction on the building was completed in the late 1940s. Eventually, both front-end loaders pushed on the west side of the building, bringing it to the ground. It took no longer than 20 minutes to bring the structure down. A new Girl Scout Building has been constructed just southwest of the demolished one. L&T photos/Jessica Crawford
