The Lady Redskins missed their first five free throws Friday night against Hays, but they didn’t need them. The Lady Redskins jumped on top of the Lady Indians early and never let up, cruising to a 54-29 win to move to 6-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Western Athletic Conference.

The Lady Redskins broke the game open early, starting on a 15-4 run.

By halftime, Liberal had a 26-13 lead.

The Lady Redskins dominated the second half as well en route to the 25-point win.

Kiara Cohens led Liberal with 17 points. Hannah Rotolo scored 12, Kayla Payton had 10, and Brianna Lucero had nine.

The Lady Redskins will host Garden City at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
