JOHNSON – Amandus C. “A.C.” Allison, 93, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at the Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson.
He was born Sept. 7, 1917, to Joseph L. and Anna (Hanson) Allison in Caney.
He married Vivian Schul Dec. 21, 1941. She died in 1985.
He then married Elizabeth Adams in 1987. She survives.
He worked at the Cities Service Gas Company plant in Ulysses for many years. He retired in 1980.
He was a member of the Manter Methodist Church.
He is also survived by one son, Curtis Allison and wife, Candice, League City, Texas; three step-sons, Fred Adams and wife, Janet, Larned, Forrest Adams and wife, Ramona, Hugoton, and Gary Adams and wife, Betty, Johnson; one daughter, Karen Anderson, Ulysses; one brother, Cleo Allison and wife, Virgie, Coffeyville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Allison, Caney; and one sister, Virginia Feeler, Coffeyville.
o Funeral service were at 10 a.m. today at the Manter Methodist Church with Pastor Will Kenyon presiding.
Burial followed at the Ulysses Cemetery.
