MONTEZUMA – Matilda L. “Tillie” Vietti, 88, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at North Clark Village in Ozark, Mo.
She was born Sept. 9, 1922, to Henry and Elizabeth (Harms) Friesen in Montezuma.
She married John P. Vietti.
She was a homemaker. She worked food service at the school service.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Anthony Vietti and wife, Pam, Ozark, Mo., and Gregory Alan Vietti and wife, Tammy, Ozark; four daughters, Camilla Rae Jantz and husband, Jim, Montezuma, Janet Sue Koehn and husband, David John, Montezuma, Mary A. Riley and husband, Jim, Joplin, Mo., and Roxanna Lynn Vietti, Cimarron; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Paul Vietti; three sisters, Edna Smith, Mildred Shepard and Helen Unruh; and one granddaughter, Ragan Anne Riley.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Community Church in Montezuma with Vernon Buller and Tim Erickson presiding.
Burial will be at the Homeland Mennonite Cemetery in Montezuma.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Montezuma Funeral Home.
