Leader & Times staff report

BUFFALO, Okla. — Kenzi Taylor scored 20 and Lindsey Trippet 17 as the Forgan Lady Bulldogs downed Buffalo 49-32 to improve to 7-5 overall.
“We played really well,” Forgan girls coach Brett Trippet said. “I was really pleased with them. I felt that I got something out of every girls that I played. They just played really well together and did a lot of good things.”
The Lady Dogs take on Beaver (14-2), Friday night.
“They’re a very good team, really athletic and a really good defensive minded team,” Trippet said. “We’ve got to be able to handle their pressure to be able to stay close to them.”
The Bulldog boys got off to a slow start, but recovered to whip the Bison 79-32.
“We were sluggish coming out, then we kind of got going, obviously,” Forgan head coach Todd Kerr said. “They were really physical with us and tried to slow the tempo.”
Five players scored in double figures.
“We talk about sharing the basketball and when you share the basketball we get balanced scoring. Proud of the way we responded after a tough first quarter,” Kerr said.
