Forgan bounces back with win
Turpin gets win over Dusters at tourney

The Forgan Bulldogs bounced back from their first loss of the season by whipping the Sharon-Mutual Indians 73-33 in the first round of the Oil Center Classic in Woodward, Oklahoma.
The Bulldogs dominated from the opening tip, taking a 22-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs extended their lead to twenty-eight, taking a 40-12 lead into the locker room. Rhett Radcliff led Forgan in scoring with 19, Ryan Radcliff added 14.
Forgan advances to the semifinals and will play the Shattuck Indians today at 5:30 pm.
The Forgan Lady Bulldogs remained undefeated, and continued their dominance with a 75-31 romp of the Waynoka Railroaders. The Lady Bulldogs outscored Waynoka 21-9 in the first quarter and 24-11 in the second to take a commanding 45-20 lead to halftime. After three Forgan had increased their lead to 43, leading 69-26. Five Lady Bulldogs scored in double figures with Kaci Hill leading the team with 19. Lindsey Trippett and Samantha Leisher each scored 12, and Kalli Ritterbush and Jaci McGill each added 11. The Lady Bulldogs advance to the semifinals where they will play Sharon-Mutual at 4pm today.
The Turpin Cardinals held off a last minute rally to defeat the Beaver Dusters 51-49 in the first round of the Oil Center Classic in Woodward, Oklahoma. The Cardinals took an early 18-12 lead in the first quarter and held that same lead as play began in the fourth.
The Cardinals led 51-42 with just a minute left in the game,but the Dusters rallied and had cut the lead to two when they were able to force a turnover with 6 seconds left. Beaver was unable to get off an open shot, and Turpin held on for the victory. Kiefer Hood led Turpin with 20 points and Konner Hood added 13. Kyler McDonald led the Dusters with 13 points and Samuel Becker added 12, with 8 of them coming in the fourth quarter.
The Beaver Lady Dusters dominated early and cruised to a 51-29 victory over the Turpin Lady Cardinals. The Lady Dusters took control in the first period outscoring Turpin 18-7, and lead at halftime 29-14. Rich Oyler lead the Lady Dusters with 11 of her 15 in the first half, including 3 3-pointers. Beaver continued to dominate in the third taking a 42-20 lead into the fourth quarter. McDonald also added 14 for the Lady Dusters. Amanda Becker led the Lady Cardinals with 11 and Rachel Haralson added 7. The Lady Dusters advance to the semifinals today where they will take on the Mooreland Lady Bearcats at 7 p.m. The Lady Cardinals will take on the Shattuck Indians in the consolation bracket today at 1 p.m.
