Williams’ 27 lead Larkmen to 20-point win over Heights

KISMET — Taylor Williamson scored 27 points to pace the Sublette Larkmen to a 61-41 win over Southwestern Heights on Saturday night at Heights.
Southwestern Heights (2-6) hung with the Larkmen for about a quarter-and-a-half before Sublette’s speed began to take over.
SWH opened with a 4-0 run on baskets by James Abla and Ben Johnsrud. A 3-pointer by Jeff Dutton gave Heights a 7-2 advantage, and a basket by Johnsrud made it 10-4 before Sublette cut it to 12-10 to end the first quarter.
Ivan Hernandez, Travis Leverett and Williamson had scores during the first quarter run for Sublette.
The Larkmen surged ahead quicky in the second as two freebies by Williamson and a hoop by Alex White made it 14-12 Sublette.
SWH answered with a tying free throw by Dutton. After Williamson put Sublette up by three, Joseph Rendon tied it for Southwestern Heights and Lane Sherer hit two freebies to give Heights a 19-17 lead.
It would be the last for the Mustangs.
Derek Birney gave Sublette a 20-19 lead, then Williamson and White put the Larkmen up by five.
The Larkmen went up 32-21 at the half and led by 15 at the end of the third.
Southwestern Heights was led by Ben Johnsrud with 16, Jeff Dutton added 12, Clayton Chase added 9, Jr. Herrera and Lane Sherer two each.
