BEAVER, Okla. — The 9th-ranked Lady Dusters continued their winning ways with a 59-15 blowout win over county rival Turpin (2-13).
Anna McDonald came out of the gate on fire for the Lady Dusters scoring 11 of her game-high 23 in the first quarter, as Beaver sprinted out to a 21-4 lead. McDonald was 5 of 7 from the field in the quarter.
Beaver backed out of their press in the second quarter, but was still able to increase their lead to 34-6 at the half. The Lady Dusters led 44-13 after three, and finished the game with a 15-2 run for the final score.
Beaver (16-2) only shot 39 percent from the field, but took 56 shots compared to Turpin’s 28 shots and 18 percent shooting. The Lady Dusters also made 8 of 10 from the charity stripe, while Turpin made only one of three.
Ten Lady Dusters scored with McDonald making 6-of-13 from 2-point range and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc, and 2-for-2 from the line. Erin Becker added 13 on 6 of 10 shooting. Turpin’s Dakota Moon led the Lady Cardinals with five points on 2-of-5 shooting.
