The Boise City Lady Wildcats outscored the Turpin Lady Cardinals 16-7 in the fourth quarter to squelch any hopes of a come-from-behind victory for Turpin, and won 45-34. Boise City took a 16-13 lead in the first quarter, and took that same three point lead to halftime, 22-19, after the two teams played an even second quarter.

Maegen Rider hit her third 3-pointer of the game and helped inch the Lady Cardinals closer, with Boise City only leading by two points and the end of the third period, 29-27. But that was as close as Boise City would allow, and poor free throw shooting in the second half, only 6 of 15, hurt any chance of a Cardinal comeback.

Amanda Becker led the Lady Cardinals with 12 points, and Maegen Rider added 10. The Lady Cardinals fall to 7-6 on the season.

Both teams and the JV teams will travel to Texhoma for games on Friday starting at 4 p.m.
