“That” Liberal Band is now selling tickets for the 31st Annual Fish Fry. This year, the Fish Fry is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 22, in the Seward County Activity Center. The meal will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $8.50 for adults (ages 13 years and up). Tickets for children (ages 5 years-12 years) are $6. Ages 4 and under do not need a ticket if accompanied by their parent.
The meal consists of fried fish, fried chicken nuggets, corn on the cob, cole slaw, cheesy potatoes and hush puppies. Tea and coffee are also included in the price of the ticket. Desserts will be available at an addition charge of $1.
The band boosters, Bill and Dayna Ermann, co-presidents, work very hard to organize this fundraiser and the students step in to set up, serve, and clean up. Throughout the evening, the LHS Jazzmen will be performing so those who choose to dine in will have the luxury of live entertainment.
Please check with a band student to purchase your tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door. The LHS Band Boosters will also be staffing a carryout station so the option of taking the fish home is available too.
The Fish Fry is the single largest fundraiser for the band and everyone is invited to attend.
“A huge thank you goes out to the many local businesses and organizations that donate money and/or products for the Fish Fry,” said LHS band director Lance Burnett. “The success that we have each year would not be possible without their help.”
All proceeds from this fundraiser help students earn finances to travel to Winter Park, Colo., in the early spring for a ski experience. The LHS Jazzmen will be performing at the Snow Mountain Ranch Resort.
