Redskins suffer first home WAC loss in school history Daily Leader report Heather Vanley and Shaylee Scruggs led the Lady Redskins to a victory Tuesday at Ayr Lanes over Western Athletic Conference opponent Garden City and Holcomb.

Vanley averaged 206 and Scruggs averaged 189 for the three games.

 

Liberal scored a team total of 2155, Garden City had 2,011, and Holcomb turned in a score of 1,525.

The Redskins dropped a close match to Garden City. Only 23 pins separated the two.

 

Chris Flowers led the Redskins with an average of 215, and Landry Mastellar turned in a 203-in average.

Garden City won with a score of 2,431, Liberal finished second with 2,408, and Holcomb finished third with 1,848.

“We lost it,” Liberal coach Robert Burkey said. “We did not get beat, we just lost.”
