Beaver, Okla. — The boys addition of “Beaver County Bedlam” certainly lived up to the excitement of the girls game Friday night at the Duster Dome as Forgan defeated Beaver 65-53 in overtime.
Beaver controlled the game through three and a half quarters. The Dusters led 32-24 at halftime. They then led the Bulldogs 44-37 thru three quarters. However, the second part of the fourth quarter belonged to Forgan as they outscored Beaver 16-9 in the final period capped off by a game tying three on the right wing by freshman Rhett Radcliff with just two seconds left to send the game into overtime.
It was one of five three pointers for Radcliff in the game. He finished the night with 27 points which led all scorers.
The overtime period belonged to Radcliff and his Bulldogs as they shut out the Dusters 12-0 in the extra period with 10 of those 12 coming from the free throw line.
Tyler McReynolds also added 15 points in the win for Forgan. Beaver was led by Samuel Becker who scored 20 in the loss.
Forgan won the regular season series over Beaver 2-0, as they defeated the Dusters 70-39 in November. Beaver drops to 9-7 overall, but are still 9-3 in their last 12 games after starting the season 0-4. Forgan improved to 10-2.
