Police are seeking two Hispanic males after an attempted robbery and stabbing Monday evening.
Officers responded to the 200 block of East Oak at about 7:20 p.m.
Monday for a report of an attempted robbery, according to a press release from Liberal Police Department Capt. Pat McClurg.
“The investigation revealed that two armed Hispanic males confronted a 26-year-old male and demanded his wallet,” the release noted. “When the victim refused, he was stabbed in the arm with a sharp object.
The suspects fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to Southwest Medical Center by Seward County Emergency Medical Services and was treated for minor injuries.
“Witnesses described the suspects as young Hispanic males of average build with dark colored clothing,” the report continued. “One of the suspects was wearing a mask.”
Anyone providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this crime may receive a reward up to $1,000.
