WICHITA — Liberal’s Justin McPhail grabbed two wins on Friday and will wrestle for the Class 5A state 215-pound championship Saturday.
In Friday’s first round, Cody Smith won 11-4 at 130 pounds, Adebayo Braimah won by pin fall, Ayodale Braimah lost by pin, Trenton Wilson lost by pin fall and McPhail won his match by pin at the 39 second mark of the first.
Smith lost in the second round, Adebayo lost 5-4 in the second round.
McPhail won 9-1 to set up his state championship bout.
