GARDEN CITY — For a bunch of beginners, the Liberal High School girls swim team didn’t do too shabby in their opening meet of the season Thursday.
“I was very proud of the girls with it being the first swim meet for most of them, we have a lot of beginners,” Liberal swim coach Shelley Tiedeman said. “They were competitive with the other teams.
It was the first meet, so there’s still room for the girls to improve.
“The girls still need to work on their endurance,” Tiedemann said.
